3 John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." This short verse contains a powerful message about the connection between our physical health and our spiritual well-being.


First and foremost, John addresses his readers as "beloved," a term of endearment that emphasizes his love and concern for them. He then offers a prayer for their prosperity in all things, which can be interpreted as a desire for them to thrive and succeed in all areas of their lives. This includes their financial well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.


But John doesn't stop there. He goes on to add a crucial caveat to his prayer for prosperity: "just as your soul prospers." In other words, John recognizes that true prosperity and success can only come when our spiritual lives are healthy and flourishing.
